PLAYING FIELDS

Ohoka Touch module is played on the MSC grounds on Thursday night. Ground/field layout will be displayed in front of the clubrooms. The consumption of alcohol on these grounds is prohibited.

Junior Year 1-2 and 3-4 fields are half sized, all other grades are full sized.

REFEREES

As part of the condition of entry, your senior team needs to nominate a referee.  You can nominate outside of your team if they are aware and willing.  Organizing your team's referee is the sole responsibility of your team manager. Referees will be appointed to the draw by the night before. Junior games will have assigned referees these referees will meet at 4:15pm each night to set up fields and have a briefing.

If your team doesn’t supply a referee, you will be deducted 1 point for each week you do not supply a referee.

One of the obstacles to encouraging players to referee is the occasional poor sportsmanship demonstrated by some players towards refereeing decisions.  Some people are put off refereeing by this intimidation.  Ohoka Rugby Club wishes to encourage as many players as possible to enjoy this aspect of Touch and we will be working hard to support all referees throughout the season.  Every week there will be representatives of the Competition Committee circulating around the fields to provide support for referees.

SERIOUS OFFENSES recorded by the referees of the observers will be referred to by the Competition Committee and may lead to the deduction of ALL game and sportsmanship points for that night.

Acts of dissent or abuse will not be tolerated and will be taken very seriously by the Competition Committee. Repeated instances of dissent may see a team withdrawn from the competition with NO refund of subscriptions.

PLAYER CONDUCT

An increasing trend in sport is the verbal abuse of referees.  Ohoka Touch has a zero-tolerance policy towards referee abuse.  The organizers appreciate and acknowledge the time and commitment given by our referees, please respect them and their decisions, as without them, there would be no game.

CANCELLATIONS

All decisions regarding cancellation of games will be by 4pm on Thursday afternoon to ALL team managers for Junior and Senior Touch via email and Facebook.  Please also check the website www.mandevillesports.co.nz and our Ohoka Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MandevilleTouch for up to date information. If a cancellation occurs, the week's games won’t be rescheduled.

DRAWS

Draws will be communicated to all team managers via email and available online along with updated points.

These will be live on the website too.
